It is with mixed emotions that SSI announces a change of leadership. Frank Ientile has stepped down as Executive Director of SSI to pursue other professional opportunities. Since joining SSI in August 2018 Frank has been the mastermind behind achieving our transformation that has put SSI on the path for continued stability and success. Frank’s dedication to SSI has been unparalleled and we are grateful for his expertise in leading SSI through this difficult time.

We recognize leadership transitions present both risks and opportunities. To ensure a seamless transition a strong changeover plan has been developed to ensure a smooth migration for long term stability. Effective July 3, 2020 the following SSI leadership changes are as follows:
- Elissa Flagg will assume the role of Interim Clinical Director
- Margit Pukonen will move into the new role of Director, Ministry Relations and E-Learning champion
- Bob Kroll will assume the new role of Advisory Board Consultant to support SSI in the executive functioning aspects of SSI during the transition
- John Fisher and Peter Aziz will step in as Interim Co Chairs for the SSI Board of Directors
We congratulate Elissa, Margit, Bob, John and Peter on their new roles with SSI.
We are indebted to Frank for his dedicated and outstanding service. He has set the path for SSI to move forward, supported by the strong foundation he built for our community. We wish him all the best in his new venture.
