We hope you are well and keeping safe, and that your summer has been as enjoyable as possible despite the unforeseen circumstances related to COVID-19
We want to share a quick update on what’s been happening at SSI lately.
- Our Annual Report for 2019/20 is here! We hope you will enjoy reading about our past year in review. Read all about it here.
- We are sorry to announce that the annual Walk & Run for Stuttering Awareness has been postponed for this year. While this fun and inclusive community event is enjoyable and meaningful for so many, our priority is the health and safety of all participants – clients past and present, staff and volunteers. At this time large group gatherings are not advised. This is SSI’s leading fundraising event each year. If you would still like to support SSI’s programs as we continue to support those with speech and stuttering difficulties through these challenging times, donations can be made online here.
- Our clinical services continue to be offered via telepractice. While telepractice is meeting the needs of the vast majority of clients and families during the ongoing pandemic, we understand that others are anxious to return to the clinic. Please be assured that careful planning is currently underway for the safe and gradual resumption of on-site services at SSI in our new location on Barber Greene Rd in Toronto.
Thank you for your commitment to SSI and your investment in transforming lives for lasting change.
Best wishes for a safe and happy end to summer and a healthy beginning to the fall season,
Elissa Flagg, Interim Clinical Director and Loriellen Karam, Director of Development
